This Christmas thewealthworks are very proud to support The Disabilities Trust’s ConnectAbility appeal.
Every December we make a donation to charity instead of sending out traditional Christmas cards. This year it’s fantastic for us as techies to be able to give to a charity running a technology-based campaign.
The Disabilities Trust launched the appeal in 2014 with the goal of providing assistive technology to help people with disabilities. Everyday devices that many of us take for granted, such as iPads and e-readers, can make a real difference to disabled people. Such technology can help them live more independent lives and maximise their ability to make choices and communicate with others.
The next stage of the appeal sees the opening of ConnectAbility ‘Hubs’ providing disabled people with a chance to learn about new assistive technology and to be able to try it out.
